Self-drive hire includes 100 miles per day. Your quotation confirms any excess mileage charges, fuel or charging requirements, delivery and collection arrangements, and return condition requirements.

Additional drivers must be declared and approved before hire. Eligibility, insurance requirements and any additional cost are confirmed for your booking.

The minimum self-drive hire period is 2 days. Each hire includes 100 miles per day. Availability and the total cost are confirmed in your quotation. Separate terms apply to long-term hire.

We welcome enquiries from international clients. Send your licence country and hire dates so we can confirm the licence, identification and insurer requirements before booking.

Insurance arrangements, the excess and significant exclusions depend on the vehicle and approved drivers. We explain them before you commit. A security deposit is separate from the insurance excess.

The release timetable is confirmed in your agreement. The vehicle is checked against its handover record, and any proposed deduction is explained with supporting details. Bank processing times may affect when funds become available.

Ask before booking. Travel outside the permitted territory requires written approval and suitable insurance and documentation. Do not assume that an overseas journey is included.

Stop in a safe place, contact emergency services if needed, and notify Apex using the incident instructions provided at handover. We will agree the next steps with the vehicle provider or insurer.

Cancellation notice before the hire starts: 14 days or more — 25% of the total hire charge; 7 days to less than 14 days — 50%; less than 7 days — 75%. Charges are reduced where required to reflect reasonable direct loss, costs saved and replacement bookings. Contact Apex promptly about changes or cancellation.
